SpaceVac Brings High-Level Cleaning Down to Ground Level
Ground-operated vacuum systems help industrial and commercial facilities reach overhead dust, debris and other difficult-to-access cleaning areas.
Dust and debris do not remain conveniently at floor level. In manufacturing plants, warehouses and commercial facilities, buildup can collect on structural beams, pipework, ducting, elevated ledges, lighting and the tops of equipment.
SpaceVac approaches that challenge with a straightforward idea: bring the cleaning equipment to the elevated surface while allowing the operator to remain on the ground.
Its high-level vacuum-cleaning systems combine lightweight modular poles, interchangeable cleaning heads and secure connections to help facility teams reach areas that would otherwise require ladders, scaffolding or elevated access equipment.
Cleaning the Areas Routine Housekeeping Can Miss
Traditional floor-cleaning routines address only part of a facility. Dust can remain undisturbed above production areas, storage locations and workspaces, particularly on beams, duct exteriors and other elevated horizontal surfaces.
SpaceVac systems are designed to make those areas more practical to include in regular inspection and cleaning programs. Operators assemble the required pole length, attach the appropriate cleaning head and guide the equipment from floor level.
Angled heads and specialist brushes can help the system reach over, under and around pipework, ducting, ledges and other obstructions. SpaceVac’s positive locking system helps keep the poles, tools and cleaning heads connected during use.
Up to 52 Feet of Working Height
For large internal spaces, the SpaceVac Internal Ultra standard system can provide a working height of up to 16 meters, or approximately 52 feet. Actual reach depends on the selected model, configuration, cleaning head and conditions inside the facility.
That reach can be useful in locations such as manufacturing plants, warehouses, distribution centers and commercial buildings where overhead structures may be well beyond the range of conventional cleaning equipment.
Rather than treating every facility the same, SpaceVac systems can be configured around the height, surface shape and material that needs to be removed.
Different Systems for Different Environments
SpaceVac is not limited to one type of cleaning application. Its equipment range addresses several distinct environments.
Internal systems are designed for overhead dust and debris on beams, ceilings, ducting, pipework and elevated ledges.
External configurations can be used to remove leaves, organic waste and blockages from commercial gutters and downpipes while the operator remains at ground level.
Specialist conductive pole systems and accessories are also available for certain combustible-dust applications. Those environments require careful equipment selection. The dust characteristics, vacuum, filtration, hose, poles, cleaning heads, facility classification and applicable certification requirements must all be considered together.
A filter or individual component does not make an entire system appropriate for every hazardous environment. Facilities should involve their safety personnel and evaluate the complete configuration for the specific material and operating conditions.
Built for Industrial and Commercial Facilities
SpaceVac systems can be considered for a range of working environments, including:
- Manufacturing plants
- Warehouses and logistics facilities
- Food and beverage operations
- Pharmaceutical facilities
- Commercial buildings
- Facilities-management applications
Each setting presents different cleaning challenges. A food-production facility may be concerned with deposits above processing areas, while a warehouse may need to address dust on structural members, lighting or high-level ledges. A commercial property may be more focused on exterior guttering or difficult-to-access interior spaces.
The value of a configurable system is the ability to select the reach, cleaning tools and vacuum arrangement around the actual facility rather than forcing one standard setup onto every job.
High-Level Cleaning as Part of a Broader Plan
A visibly clean floor does not necessarily mean an entire facility is free from accumulated dust. Overhead deposits can remain outside normal cleaning routes and may need to be included in a facility-wide housekeeping program.
SpaceVac can help collect material from accessible elevated surfaces, but high-level cleaning is only one part of a complete dust-management strategy. It does not replace source capture, ventilation, exposure monitoring, process controls or other measures that may be required for a particular operation.
Facilities evaluating a system should begin by identifying the material, the areas where it accumulates, the required working height, nearby processes, access limitations and any hazardous-location requirements. Cleaning frequency should also be based on how quickly material accumulates and the conditions within the facility.
Matching the Equipment to the Job
Before selecting a SpaceVac system, facility teams should be prepared to describe:
- What material needs to be removed
- Where the material is accumulating
- The height and shape of the cleaning surfaces
- Any obstructions around the work area
- The facility’s operating environment
- Existing vacuum and filtration equipment
- Any hazardous-area or certification requirements
Those details help determine the appropriate pole length, tools, accessories and vacuum configuration.
Facilities interested in seeing how SpaceVac could fit their maintenance program can explore the available systems at SpaceVac, request information, discuss a specific application or inquire about a demonstration.
