Report Your Concerns
See something happening in League City that deserves attention? Tell us about it. Some of the most important local stories begin with a resident asking a simple question.
LEAGUE CITY, Texas — Residents see their neighborhoods every day. You notice the drainage problem that keeps getting worse, the road repair that does not appear finished, the development project changing traffic patterns or the public issue that does not seem to be getting an answer.
Talk of League City wants to hear about it.
Our goal is to identify legitimate community concerns, ask questions, review available records, seek responses from the people responsible and help League City residents better understand what is happening in their city.
What Should You Tell Us About?
A concern does not need to be a major controversy to matter. If something affects your neighborhood, your commute, your property, your taxes or your quality of life, it may be worth looking into.
Roads & Infrastructure
Potholes, damaged sidewalks, street conditions, traffic signals, construction problems and unfinished work.
Drainage & Flooding
Standing water, clogged drainage, erosion, stormwater concerns and recurring neighborhood flooding.
Growth & Development
New construction, zoning, traffic impacts, land use, neighborhood compatibility and development concerns.
Public Safety
Neighborhood safety issues, recurring traffic problems, dangerous intersections and other community concerns.
Parks & Public Property
Damaged facilities, maintenance problems, playgrounds, trails, landscaping and public-space concerns.
City Decisions & Spending
Municipal projects, contracts, public spending, policies, meetings or decisions you think deserve a closer look.
For City Service Problems, Report Them to League City Too
Talk of League City can investigate and report on community issues, but we are not a replacement for the City departments responsible for fixing them.
If you have a pothole, drainage issue, broken streetlight, code concern or another City service problem, residents should also create an official record with League City.
Use 311 or the Citizen Request Tracker
League City operates a Citizen Request Tracker that allows residents to submit service requests and, when signed in, track the progress of existing requests.
Residents may also dial 311 for City-related service requests and concerns.
League City's request system includes categories for issues such as potholes, broken concrete, buckled streets, clogged ditches, clogged drains, drainage concerns, traffic issues, code violations, damaged infrastructure and numerous other City services.
What Happens When You Contact Us?
We Review the Concern
We look at the information you provide and determine whether there is a broader issue that may be useful or important to League City residents.
We Check the Facts
When appropriate, we review City agendas, meeting minutes, contracts, project information, public records, permits and other available documentation.
We Ask Questions
We may contact City officials, departments, businesses, agencies or other people involved to request information or a response.
We Report What We Find
When a concern warrants coverage, our goal is to explain what happened, what the records show, what officials say and what it means for League City residents.
Submitting a concern does not guarantee publication. Some issues may be individual service matters rather than news stories, while others may require additional documentation before they can be responsibly reported.
Documentation Helps
The More Detail You Provide, the Better We Can Look Into It.
Helpful information may include:
- Exact location or address
- Photos or video
- The date the problem began
- How long the issue has existed
- City request or case numbers
- Emails or correspondence with officials
- Project names or contractor information
- Meeting dates or agenda items
- Links to relevant documents or websites
You do not need to conduct your own investigation before contacting us. If all you have is a question or something that does not seem right, send us what you know.
Urgent Issues Should Go to the Appropriate Agency First
Talk of League City should never be used in place of emergency or law-enforcement services.
For an emergency, call 911.
For a situation requiring immediate police attention that is not an emergency, contact League City Police dispatch at 281-332-2566.
Routine City service requests can be submitted through the Citizen Request Tracker or by calling 311.
Community Information Starts With the Community
Local journalism works best when residents participate.
City agendas and official announcements tell part of the story. Residents often see the other part — how decisions, construction projects, infrastructure problems and policies actually affect daily life.
That is why your questions matter.
