LEAGUE CITY, Texas — Friday night brought three District 18-6A football games involving League City schools, with Clear Falls producing the area’s biggest result while Clear Springs and Clear Creek came up short against district opponents.

Clear Falls at Clear Lake 58–21 Clear Falls Win
Clear Springs at Deer Park 21–38 Clear Springs Loss
Dickinson at Clear Creek 49–6 Clear Creek Loss

Clear Falls Puts Up 58 Against Clear Lake

The Clear Falls Knights turned in their most explosive offensive performance of the season Friday, defeating Clear Lake 58-21.

The victory moves Clear Falls to 3-3 overall and 2-1 in district play.

It also gives the Knights consecutive district victories after they defeated Clear Brook 52-21 the previous week.

Two weeks, 110 points: Clear Falls has now scored 52 points against Clear Brook and 58 against Clear Lake in back-to-back District 18-6A victories.

Friday’s 58 points marked a season high for the Knights, surpassing their previous high of 52.

Clear Falls now gets a week away from game action before a particularly important local matchup against Clear Springs on October 16.

Clear Springs Pushes Unbeaten Deer Park

Clear Springs entered Friday facing one of the district’s unbeaten teams and stayed considerably closer than several of Deer Park’s previous opponents before falling 38-21 at Abshier Stadium.

Deer Park entered the game 5-0 and had allowed just 31 points across its first five games. The Chargers put 21 on the board Friday but were unable to hand the Deer their first loss.

The defeat moves Clear Springs to 2-4 overall and 1-2 in district play.

Clear Springs now has an extended break before returning to action against Clear Falls on October 16 — setting up an all-League City district matchup with meaningful implications in the second half of the season.

Dickinson Pulls Away From Clear Creek

At Veterans Memorial Stadium, Clear Creek ran into a Dickinson team that has found its stride in district play.

The Gators defeated the Wildcats 49-6, building a 28-6 halftime advantage before shutting out Clear Creek in the second half.

Dickinson scored seven points in the first quarter, 21 in the second, seven in the third and 14 in the fourth.

The result drops Clear Creek to 1-5 overall. The Wildcats have now lost their first three district games.

Clear Creek will have an extra week to regroup before traveling to face undefeated Deer Park on October 16.

The District Picture Is Beginning to Take Shape

Friday’s results further separated the field as District 18-6A moves deeper into league play.

Clear Falls has positioned itself in the middle of that race at 2-1 in district after consecutive wins, while Clear Springs is 1-2 and Clear Creek is searching for its first district victory.

The next round of games should add even more clarity — particularly when Clear Falls and Clear Springs meet head-to-head.

A League City Matchup Is Next

The October 16 game between Clear Falls and Clear Springs should be one of the more interesting local games on the remaining schedule.

Clear Falls enters the break with momentum after scoring 110 points over its last two games, while Clear Springs will have two weeks to prepare following Friday’s road test against unbeaten Deer Park.

With district play moving into its second half, each game begins to carry more significance as teams compete for postseason position.

Talk of League City will continue following Clear Falls, Clear Springs, Clear Creek and other local teams throughout the 2026 football season.
