League City is rehabilitating pumping equipment at the Countryside Well Station as part of an effort to support dependable water service for residents and businesses.
The city announced the work in its Public Works Week in Review for Oct. 8, 2026. According to the update, pumps, motors, pipes, valves and control systems can wear down over time, potentially affecting the station’s performance and causing unexpected problems.
Work intended to improve reliability
The rehabilitation is intended to improve efficiency, reduce the risk of equipment failures and extend the useful life of key components. The city said addressing the equipment now also could help avoid more expensive repairs later.
The city’s update did not provide a project cost, completion schedule or details about whether the work will affect water service.
The Countryside project is part of the work handled by League City Public Works, which has more than 140 employees across Fleet, Line Repair, Streets/Stormwater and Traffic, Wastewater, and Water. The department maintains and monitors infrastructure including roads, traffic lights, storm drains, sewers and water-production facilities.
